Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants must possess prescribed academic qualifications and relevant teaching experience in accordance with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) criteria for engagement as visiting teachers. Eligibility and selection will be governed by the prevailing HEC criteria and the University of Gujrat’s Statutes, Rules, Regulations, and Policies.

General Instructions

• The University of Gujrat reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel any advertised post(s), either wholly or partially, without assigning any reason.
• The University also reserves the right to increase or decrease the assigned workload in accordance with the number of enrolled students, formation of sections, commencement of academic programs/courses, and the appointment of regular faculty members before or during the semester.
• The maximum remunerable teaching workload for a Visiting Faculty member shall be twelve (12) credit hours per semester. No remuneration shall be admissible for any workload exceeding this limit.
• The University shall not provide office accommodation, residential accommodation, transportation, or any other fringe benefits to Visiting Faculty members.
• Visiting Faculty members shall be required to abide by all Statutes, Rules, Regulations, Policies, and Codes of Conduct of the University of Gujrat.
• Engagement as Visiting Faculty shall be purely temporary and semester-specific. Such engagement shall not confer any right or claim to seniority, regular appointment, contract appointment, extension of engagement, or preference/eligibility for any future position at the University.
