Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates interested in the Manager (Procurement & Technical) position must meet the following criteria:

Education

  • A B.Sc Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical discipline from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is required.

Age/Eligibility

  • Applicants must not exceed 62 years of age.
  • Retired WAPDA, DISCOs, or NTDC employees with a good service record are also eligible to apply.

Experience

  • A minimum of four (04) years of experience as a Superintending Engineer, Resident Engineer Power House, or Manager Technical in BPS-19 or higher positions (CEs / GMs) is mandatory.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in procurement, material management, and inventory control.

General Requirements

Successful candidates are expected to possess the following general attributes:

  • Awareness of PPRA Rules.
  • Result-oriented, highly organized, and motivated.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, communication, technical, and interpersonal skills.

Area of Responsibility

The Manager (Procurement & Technical) will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

  • Monitoring procurement and material management, as well as consumption at all workshops.
  • Holding review meetings to evaluate workshop performance for improvements.
  • Monitoring technical activities at all distribution and power transformer workshops, and petrol pumps.
  • Improving maximum efficiency of workshops and increasing PWF revenue.
  • Developing strategies through close liaison with WAPDA, DISCOs, GENCOs, and NTDC counterparts to expand business for PWF.
  • Providing engineering and technical guidance to all Managers and Deputy Managers.
  • Extending full technical and procurement support to the Managing Director (PWF) as and when required.
