Available Vacancies
KW&SC is looking to fill 02 positions for GIS Analyst. The selected candidates will be instrumental in managing GIS databases, improving spatial data performance, and enhancing planning, operations, and infrastructure management through mapping and other GIS tools.
Key Responsibilities of GIS Analyst:
- Maintain and update GIS databases for water and sewerage assets (pipelines, valves, filter plants, main holes, pumping stations, treatment plants, land assets, etc.).
- Prepare maps, drawings, dashboards, and spatial reports for planning, maintenance, and emergency response.
- Conduct network analysis to identify leaks, failures, and service gaps.
- Assist engineering teams in the design and planning of water and sewerage systems.
- Develop web GIS platforms and dashboards using QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, ERDAS, and Amin.
- Conduct field surveys using GPS, drones, and mobile GIS applications.
- Ensure adherence to data quality standards and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide internal staff training on GIS tools and workflows.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Geography, Remote Sensing, or GIS.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in GIS, preferably in water, wastewater, or infrastructure sectors.
- Required experience in spatial data management and enterprise GIS systems.
- Experience in donor-funded and government sector projects will be considered an additional asset.
- Candidates with experience in government projects will be given preference.
- Proficiency in QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Map, or equivalent software.
- Knowledge of SQL, PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or equivalent database information.
- Experience with dashboards, web maps, and mobile GIS tools.
