The Board of Revenue (BOR), Government of the Punjab, has announced job opportunities for the position of Tax Analyst. This is a significant opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to the provincial government’s revenue collection and tax administration efforts. The Board of Revenue Punjab is seeking highly qualified individuals for these contract-based positions in Lahore.

The BOR is responsible for collecting various government dues, including Agriculture Income Tax, Stamp Duty, and Mutation Fee, which form a substantial part of the Government of the Punjab’s own-source revenue. To enhance efficient tax administration, the BOR aims to hire a skilled professional as a Tax Analyst. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the said post in MPS-II, on a contract basis.

Job Overview

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates interested in the Tax Analyst position must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

• Option 1: A Ph.D. degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Finance, Accounting, or a relevant subject, coupled with at least 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
• Option 2: 16 years of education (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Public Finance, Accounting, or a relevant subject, along with a minimum of 14 years of post-qualification professional experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 45 and 55 years of age. The age will be calculated as of the closing date for the submission of applications.

Contract Details

The initial contract will be for three (03) years, which may be extended as per the Management Pay Scales (MPS) of Punjab 2023. The contract can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice or upon completion of the tenure, as per the Management Pay Scales (MPS) of Punjab 2023.

Pay Package

The selected candidate will receive a pay package of Rs. 619,650/- (MPS-II), along with an annual increment of Rs. 26,760/-.
